Purchase Contract for Show Puppies
Buyer agrees to the following:
1. Buyer agrees to assume all expenses assocaited with the purchase of said puppy including but not limited to: transportation, health certificate, airline crate and any other cost not specified as the sellers.
2. Buyer agrees to show said dog in AKC conformation events with the intent to gain a championship title. Buyer must agree to try to fulfill this requirement by the time the dog has reached 4 years of age.
3. Should buyer be unable to keep said puppy, the seller MUST be notified immediately. Buyer agrees to offer first option to seller to buy the dog back should they decide to sell it at a price set by the seller. A suitable home that has been found by the buyer MUST first be approved by the seller.
4. The said puppy SHALL NOT be used or donated for the purpose of use for medical, Veterinary or scientific research.
5. Buyer assumes all responsibilty for all veterinary care. Buyer agrees to provide veterinary care that is deemed appropriate/humane regardless of the cost. If said buyer cannot afford the needed treatments, seller MUST be notified immediately.
6. Buyer agrees to have said puppy's eyes Optigen Tested if there is question about its status and have the hips OFA certified. Buyer agrees to provide copies of these exams to the seller for the sole purpose of record keeping. Buyer agrees the said animal will not be bred until the animal recieves its OFA rating and Optigen results if needed.
In the event that any hereditary problems arise related to the hips and eyes, copies of such reports shall be made available to the seller. Buyer agrees in such an event that an appropriate specialist shall make the final determination of a problem. If a life altering hereditary problem is found to exist at a reasonable age, buyer may offer a replacement puppy at first availability and upon proof of strerilization of said affected puppy.
7. Buyer agrees to limit the puppy from any jumping or strenuous activity until the age of 14 months. Buyer also agrees that the dog shall not be overwieght at any time.
8. Buyer acknowledges that seller has bred this dog in good faith.
9. Buyer agrees to use the prefix CHETANA in the registered name.
10. Buyer agrees to send a minimum of one photo and update a year to seller. More frequent contact would be appreciated.
11. Buyer also agrees to notify seller when said puppy is bred. Seller will be notified as to what other dog the said puppy is being bred to. This is strictly for the purpose of record keeping. This does not imply co-onwership. Permission is NOT required to breed.
